The perfect getaway for little ones. (And their grown-ups) I chose Highseason Farm for my 2-year-old and it did not disappoint. So much for her to do, but honestly, even this city girl was hooked. We planned to visit coffee shops but never left. It was too tranquil, cosy and inviting. We spent our days watching cows, tractor rides, feeding chickens, pondering by the pond and walking to the park which was just the right amount of fun for our little one. Booked 2 nights, extended to 3. Best decision, because the cows came right to our window (fenced, don't worry!). Magical. Tasneem was the sweetest and gave us a tour, fresh eggs, complimentary milk and plenty of wood. Practical tips: winter = muddy, pack boots. Bring enough food if you're staying in and don't forget Nespresso pods. We'll definitely be back with family and friends, this gem needs sharing. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Weekend Away! My husband and I had a lovely weekend at High Season Farm. The cottage was so thoughtfully laid out, comfortable, with lots of extras that you need for self-catering. I was super impressed. We enjoyed a delicious braai basket on the first night, as well as a tasty breakfast basket the next day. Beautiful, peaceful accomdation My family & I stayed at High Season Farm for my wedding. The accommodation was amazing & so keen to go back! The team were so helpful - we had some family who couldn't make it due to flight issues & they were so accommodating & willing to assist. Beautiful place Wonderful place to stay. We rented 2 houses as there were 5 small children. Couldn’t have been better. Great family farm escape in the Hemel en Aarde Valley We loved staying at Wild Olive Cottage, with its own private garden, located on the beautiful, leafy High Season farm. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed to self-cater and braai, and it enjoyed magnificent views across the Hemel en Aarde valley and of the surrounding mountains. We were just minutes away from top wine farms such as Creation and Spookfontein and only 20 minutes from central Hermanus (where we watched a pod of dolphin from Fick's Tidal Pool). Our son loved diving into the beautiful deep swimming pool on the farm. There was a playground and a lovely swing under the old oak tree. We spent ages playing with Sadie, the farm's border collie puppy. In the morning, we had tea on the patio made with High Season farm milk and served with homemade rusks. When we got back to Cape Town we realised that a treasured teddy had been forgotten in the bed sheets. Jani located it for us straight away and it arrived by courier at our house the next day.
